Often during the treatment of cancer with radiation, the patient must be permanently marked so the radiation beam can be repeatedly  focused accurately for the duration of the treatments. This leaves the patient with permanently tattooed landmarks.

 Our system of color changing tattoo inks would not result in permanent markings. Our ink can be applied, activated, and deactivated, being visible only when the patient is being treated. Once treatment ends the markings never need to be activated again, leaving no visible reminder of the patient’s illness.

 Without the worry of permanent markings, more complete and accurate markings can be placed. Markings could be made in different colors to treat different regions without confusion resulting in better cancer treatment!
